What is a shaker?

Shakers are wire mesh screens used in the oil and gas industry to separate drilling cuttings from drilling fluids. These screens are usually made of stainless steel or other high-strength alloy steel and are specifically designed to separate fine particles from drilling fluids. The mesh size of the screen is usually determined by the particle size to be separated. The tension of the screen is usually determined by the flow and pressure of the drilling fluid.
